They've never really been Dita Von Teese like, almost pointy nails, but visibly round.
It probably had something to do with them being much prettier looking to me.
But then I tried square nails.
Well square nails are really not the best shape for my hand. I suppose they will look better once they get longer but I think I'm still going to stick with round.I'm giving them a go as we speak and they look much better without nail polish on. But since we all know I need color on my nails, that's not really good news, now is it?
I am curious,what's your preference? Round or square? Actually, have you tried both yet? I've only just given square nails a go recently to be quite honest. Never had them this edgy before.

ReplyDeleteWhy do you think I tried them square? :P I saw so many pics that looked super pretty with square nails. My square nails look ok on pictures but the whole picture (aka hand) doesn't look as pretty as with rounded

Yep,I've found that too. Especially my index finger has an amazing hanging,not to mention scratching capacity. Some scratches on my face can attest to that :P
DeleteMy nails grow how they want :D. I usually cut them (yes, my nails don't break, I have to cut them, when they too long for my taste...) in the shape of nail plate so in my case they are kinda squoval. I think yours look very appropriate in last few posts, slightly rounded, but kinda square. It suits your hands.
ReplyDeleteSquoval,Love it! I think mine tended to be a bit more squoval by nature,as you say,but I find that they do start to attach themselves to all sorts of clothing pieces,like the comment above said, and they're not too practical.

ReplyDeleteNow i just follow the shape of my cuticles and then it's perfect! Some nails are a bit rounder than others, but it doesn't show that much. Looks really natural :)

My ring finger and pinky are naturally more square for some reason,and the only true round nail is my index finger nail, so it's a very multicultunail environment :P
DeleteSquoval and oval nails are my favourite. I have short stubby fingers and square nails make that 100x worse, so long rounded off nails extend my fingers and make me feel feminine again! ;-)xo

DeleteI wear my nails square, but you definitely suit round shapes better...actually so good that now I want to try it myself, after many years of square nails. They look...sweeter! if that makes any sense :)
