OOTD? Yes it's my First Outfit Post!

Well this is a first, isn't it?
But I am SO super excited about the hand painted shirt I am about to show you that I simply had to do an outfit post!
I had randomly discovered Wonder Park as I was looking around the Camden Market a while ago and the idea that they paint on whatever you want on whatever T-shirt was instantly appealing!

Fast forward to my friend whose brain is on constant creative overdrive and who comes up with or revives the most fantastic words. One fine evening we ended up with the word "frohlocken", which basically just means "rejoice" in German. But it sounds utterly magnificent when said in German!
It's a very archaic word and I am sure 99% or the population has even forgotten it existed.
Well, this word sounded so great and fun and puts me instantly in a good mood, that I just had to put it on a shirt and have it with me. Especially on Mondays.

This is where we combined this crazy word, with the great customising skills of Wonder Park and...voilĂ :

NEW FIND: Frankincense Perfume Oil

That sounds unusual doesn't it?
I thought the same when I entered the Frankincense Shop in Camden Stables Market and saw ancient looking bottles of amber liquid.

Reluctantly I started smelling them, and as expected, some just did not do anything for me, but this little guy, named "Adiva", which means something along the lines of "delicate" if I remember well, got my attention. It has that typical musky finish but is indeed much more delicate and once it hits the skin, it becomes even more delicate.

The thing with perfume oils is, because they are oils, they last just that extra bit longer.
I can tell you this: it is a VERY unique smell and everyone has asked me what it is because they were completely fascinated by it.

It comes in this little roll-on 10ml bottle and costs 8£, which is a pretty great deal since it last forever.

I definitely recommend a trip to Camden for it, because I'm convinced everyone can find a scent they'll immediately click with.
Not to mention how easy it is to apply! I basically carry it in my bag and just do a quick roll whenever I feel like it. I'm also very sure I will be re-purchasing it!
Have you ever tried something like this?

Top Tunes This Month

When I drive to and from work, the one thing that makes sitting helplessly in traffic bearable, is music. And since it's been half an eternity since I last gave you some listening material, I figured this would be the perfect time to do so.

Let's start with one of my total feel good songs. It has a tendency to wake me up in the morning while driving to work: Two Doors Cinema Club - What you know

This is such a happy tune, you don't have any other option than to go with it. I've been discovering quite a few indie gems ever since a friend showed me 8tracks.com so if you want ready to go playlists by mood,genre,season...basically anything, that might be the place for you.

This next one is a 2 in 1 thing. First up it's one of my favorite running songs, and secondly it always reminds me of running at night in London along the Thames, passing Big Ben, St Paul's, London Bridge...just perfect!
Daft Punk ft Pharell - Get Lucky

This next one is, remarkably enough, one of my favorites. And because I even know who wrote it and sings it *wink wink* I'm kinda even more fascinated that I like it this much. You're always critical about the things you're close to, but gosh darnit, I love this thing! There, I said it!
So if you're into discovering great new things, I think this one is right up your alley:
Joanna Kaze - Primrose Hill

As far as quiet things go, I've come to the conclusion that Sigur Ros is pretty unbeatable. I've only truly gotten into them this year, even if I knew many of their songs before. But what they do is just one grand piece of serenity.
I'd usually tell you to listen to Saeglopur since that is my favorite song of theirs, but I have been listening to this one excessively lately and have come to realize that it is also really great workout music...surprisingly enough.
Sigur Ros - Rafstraumur

And last but not least, the song that is so stuck in my brain that I do not foresee it moving anytime soon:
One Republic - Counting Stars

I'll go ahead, be honest and say I typed "one direction" before realizing that was the wrong "one". Those kids are everywhere...I'm ashamed they've even almost gotten a place on my playlist.

And, I have one last treat, a super cool EP that is free to be listened and that also contains one of the songs that made it in my favorites from this post. There's 4 songs in total, but I'd dare say they are pretty awesome.

So, did you guys enjoy my current song likes?

Week In Pictures # 33

Today, or the first time in a long time, I'm doing a post with photos from just my phone. I simply don't get around to taking photos with my phone too often, and even less to downloading them from it. I've realized my phone is being well under used so I've been working on fixing it. This would be the result.
Also: it's October! <insert shocked face here> Where has the year gone? It's almost next year and it's pretty incredible! Ok, let's just enjoy autumn as much as we can. With that in mind, I'll go get a Pumpkin Spice Latte tomorrow

As the structure of this collage might be a bit unclear, I'll be doing descriptions to each row. The first row is 4 pics, the second is 2 and the third is again 4 pictures.

1. Shrooms! Fresh picked ones from the woods / 2. My desk on wednesday, as I realized I love balloons / 3. I seem to like to take pictures of my legs after running / 4. Found a gorgeous fallen tree trunk

Best of Last Month | BritSpiration

It's been a month ( Actually, I think it is exactly a month, go figure) since I got back from London and I have had this sneaky suspicion that ever since I've been having a slightly british theme going on. Maybe not obvious at all times, but there have definitely been some bits and pieces I've picked up and have kept using since. Which makes it even better that I get to go back to London next month!
In any case, if you've missed my BritSpired Month, you can find the recap of it right here:

Let's of course start off with the London Photo Diary where I tried my best to document my wild roamings around the city.

Then we have the two polishes I've been quite obsessed with since: Barry M Greenberry , proud product of the Kingdom, and Essie Mint Candy Apple, proud cult color on the island.

What I've also gotten very fond of has been Statement Jewelry and have managed to acquire quite the little collection in less than a week's time.

And of course, last but not least: The smell of the Queen. Well, I actually have no idea what the preferred scent of the Queen is but it would be quite funny if it would be Yardley's English Lavender.

Now, let us all raise a pinky and who's up for a cup of tea?
