Do It While You Can!

Well folks, it's almost the end of June and that means Google Reader  is about to leave us. It also means that if you haven't done backup of the blogs you follow yet, you might not find them anymore starting next month. So that's why, I'd like to give you the saving option: Bloglovin

Spring And The City

Basically, everything on my blog lately has somehow been themes spring. It might have something to do with the fact that it's my favorite season, that I get to wear shorts, that the sun is shining and that the outside has become vastly more comfortable than the inside of any building.

With that being said, my friend Anja and myself, who also runs a fashion blog over at Rose Clouds Of Night decided it would be a fun thing to do a "spring in the city" post.Here is her flower filled spring awesomeness: If My Eyes Could Take Pictures

Now, I don't know about you, but I work 8 hour days and that means I miss out on most of the great sunshines happening outside my window, but I can still enjoy some of it in the middle of concrete. More or less. So here's a bit of a glimpse of my views, from the vastly urban office building and brick surroundings.

 On the first day of sunshine and blue skies I was walking up to the parking lot and just had to take a picture of this. Basically because of the man made attempt to bring "nature" into such a un-natural environment.

 Same goes for this picture. A very pretty attempt to mirror a bit of the skies. Of course, great to look at but not even half as interesting as the real deal. I mean, just look at the two

This my friends is what I call an urban lunch. At least the food itself was home made, it would have been even more cliche to pick up some Burger King and munch away on the bench. But, it was one of my best lunches so far. Even got a slight tan 

 And here's what it's all about: the green ! Nothing makes me happier than this strong green that nature is bursting with in spring

Last but not least, my favorite picture. In the middle of all this glass and steel and brick and plastic, you have blossoms. Absolutely perfect.

The Super Pretty New Storage

I am so excited! I've managed to get these pretties little things to put my make-up and general beauty products in.

Initially designed to be flower pots, such small details are known to not stop me. So in a couple of moves the whole thing has been successfully reutilized as gorgeously romantic storage.

Every single morning I go to the window and grin. Because this is so incredibly girly and pretty that it makes me giggle. 

I like everything about it: the colors, the roses, the material,the mild used look on the wooden box. Everything!

 And everything fits in perfectly. Not too little and not too much space. All my essentials, or well, my most used products fit in here and I can move them around without having to worry about where some of them might end up.

What do you say? Do you like it at least half as much as I do?

You can HELP! Blue Pinky Swear Against Bullying Campaign

Hey everyone!

A while ago,I found out about a campaign against bullying that MeanStinks are doing. It is called Blue Pinky Swear Against Bullying Campaign and as the name says, it implies painting the nail on your pinky blue to show support.

What I want is to do a post to raise some awareness because bullying,in all of its forms is an awful,awful thing! Sadly,it's moving more and more into new territories, like the web and not only.
School is also starting and that sadly means bad news for some. It's a heartbreaking reality that more and more young people have to suffer because of bullying and I think if you and I can do something about it, we should!
I will be doing a post with as many contributors as possible, and that means as many of you that want to join!



What To Do

Paint your pinky nail blue and take a picture of it. Any blue will do.Be creative or keep it simple,it's completely up to you.


What To Do With The Picture

You can either:

1. Do a blog post, describing what it is for ( The Blue Pinky Swear Against Bullying Campaign from MeanStinks) and linking it to the Man Blog Post (which will be the post on this blog). Then  you send me the link so I can include it into said Main Post

Summer Tip : Smoothies

It's summer. It might or might not be very hot and sunny,but we know it's summer.
And what defines summer better than a delicious smoothie from super fresh fruit?
That's why I've gotten quite addicted to them. Today,I'm sharing one of my favorites with you:

The Watermelon Mango Smoothie


What you need:

• A blender,juice maker or a stick blender
• Watermelon and a mango

I use a bit more watermelon than I do mango,as it contains more water and makes the smoothie more liquid.If you like a chunkier texture,then go nuts with the mango!

Put them in the blender,mix them until they get the smoothie shape and enjoy!
It is perfect for breakfast as it boosts your energy and vitamin levels and it serves as a yummy refreshment during any part of the day.
One of my absolute favorites for sure!
