If you've seen my post from Monday you might know this was coming.
I've had quite the dot moment recently and have been fascinated by the way nude nails look with a black dot at the base.
I'd like to add that this Essie polish ( IT being Brooch the Subject ) might just be the perfect nude. I'm just not a huge fan of the formula, because this is of the older generation and in conclusion the one without all updates. What I wanted to say by this was: it's streaky. But evens out nicely by the second coat.
I should stop the dots on my nails but I really can't. It has got to be one of my favorite things to do to pimp a manicure. And it also is a simple and very great way to try out color combinations. Dots are cute but they can become chic quite easy.
Truth of the matter is, I am a huge fan of the black and nude combination. I think that this is a good case of the "chic" case I was just making, because even if the "polka dot" can sometimes be perceived as childish, this manicure definitely isn't.
What I can tell you is that I'll keep on dotting, but will you?
